Post game review
Before the game, many pundits, fans, and casual viewers believed Munich would easily beat the Red Devils because of their poor form. However, there were some positives in the match for United.
United player Lisandro Martinez had improved significantly compared to his previous games against The Gunners and Brighton. Casimiro has improved by getting two goals in the game.
Despite the strong performances from the South American duo, United’s new shot stopper Andre Onana had a poor game.1 Onana after the game said:
"It's a difficult situation for me, I let the team down. It's because of me we didn't win this game. We have to move on, it's the life of the goalkeeper,” the United player said.
Despite the poor performance, Onana does have promise as a United player. The goalkeeper has strong distribution skills, knowing when to pass the ball up the fielder to United’s attackers. Former United goalkeeper David De Gea also found it difficult when he joined United.
Despite the loss for United, the team can look ahead positively when they play against Burnley in The Premier League this Saturday.
